I believe that any student can learn given the right environment, the appropriate tools, and a patient and caring teacher. I enjoy working with students of every age, from struggling college students to young children having difficulties with basic Math and English. There is nothing more satisfying for me as a teacher than to open the window of understanding for the students I work with, and to see the light of comprehension come into his or her eyes with every “ah-ha!” moment. With a degree in Special Education and a Masters in Education I have learned about how children learn best. I have a Florida Teacher's License for teaching ESE (Exceptional Students Education), Spanish, Elementary Education, and other subjects. I taught in the Ocala public school system. I have terrific math skills and have taught all core courses to ESE students. I have helped older students prepare for their GED exam as well. Currently I teach Spanish online.

When I begin tutoring a new student, my first objective is for us to get to know each other. The student will not be able to receive very much from me until he/she is comfortable with me. Once they feel that I care, they open up and the learning really begins!
