I am 23 years old and strive for excellence constantly. I currently have two jobs and a child. I work hard for my family and make sure that I do my best in everything that is put in front of me. Over 15 years experience-Master's Degree K-8

I have been tutoring all subjects K-8 for over 15 years. I am a certified teacher and currently teach 6th grade. I worked at Sylvan Learning Center for over a year before becoming a private tutor. I have been very pleased with the results I have seen with private tutoring. References are available on request.
I think lots of modeling and review of the concepts being taught is essential. I want the student to observe the modeling and then for me to guide them through the learning of the concepts. Students should be fully engaged in order to gain a full understanding.

I graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas with a degree in Communications (emphasis in Journalism) along with minors in Religion and Youth Ministry. While in college, I was a member of the yearbook staff as well as serving as an editor in various capacities for the newspaper. I also was selected by my newspaper advisor to serve as a writing mentor for a United Methodist publication. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring for many years with different kinds of children. To begin with, I tutored my younger sister starting when she was about seven years old to age twelve or thirteen. In high school, I also volunteered for an after-school program for Hispanic children ages seven-twelve where I helped them with their homework in various subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always enjoyed working with children. I believe that having as many positive role-models as possible can really help to shape a student's outlook on not only their education, but how they will tackle problems and opportunities in their lives for a long time.
