A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience tutoring and teaching in many different areas. Because of my educational background in Chemical Engineering, I have a very strong foundation in upper level math and sciences. I have tutored students both privately and through a sponsored program at The University of Texas. I have also taught college level classes as a teaching assistant in graduate school. At previous jobs, I have led educational outreach experiences for local school children. I have tutored students in math, sciences, and business courses during my tutoring sessions

At Millsaps, I was a member of Beta Beta Beta which is a biology honor society. As a member, I was responsible for tutoring underclassmen for two years. I spent much of my time at Millsaps coming up with a system of studying and organization which I shared with numerous others. Teaching others is most effective when you can convince someone that the material is actually easy. That is what I do. I make it as easy as possible by organizing the material in a way which shows the student that the material isn't infinite. We then chip away at it. This has proven to be most effective for me as a teacher to keep the student motivated and even excited.
