I believe learning is a two-way process. It needs to start with a student who has a true desire to learn and then, of course, the teacher needs to have a true desire to bring about the learning. A successful combination will result in mastering of concepts and development of skills as opposed to simply reciting facts. I believe students will more readily learn if the subject matter is made relevant to the world they live in. With the fast pace of technology development it needs to be stressed that learning is a life-long endeavor.
