I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I have also received a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology, and have since completed my 2nd year of medical school. I have always had a strong affinity for math and english as well. My comments on tutoring Algebra : All Math through Calculus are easy and straight forward.

Breaking step down till a layman can understand and I love to be interrupted with questions.
I have tutored math very often and over the course of helping others, I've learned the British ways of solving a math problem is extremely easy while the American ways are a bit confusing for the students. I could remember a day while working at Dollar Tree HQ in the Finance Department, a math problem arises and it took my supervisor 12 minutes while I solved it in 45 seconds. We arrived at the same answer however, time is of the essence.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have learned a great deal about the various learning and teaching styles. I understand that some students learn better with hands-on instruction, while others are more auditory or visual learners. I truly have a passion for spreading my love of Spanish, and teaching other students the importance of the language, and all of the interesting cultural differences and similarities we have with Hispanic countries. Over the past five years I have worked as a Teacher/Instructor both the the legal field and in the public school setting with students diagnosed as ED and LD as well as being displaced from the normal public school setting. Even though my academic degrees are in the legal field I have stayed current in areas of Reading and Math from Basic Algebra to Geometry.
I believe that a student who lacks the basic fundamental skills in reading and mathematics will struggle to stay focused in class and continually be disruptive and ultimately stop attending school. My teaching style is consistently accommodating especially to these types of students.
