A Little Bit About Me...

I love seeing children learn and grow. My teaching style is a whole, part, whole approach. I teach the abstract concept and then the practical application. After the application is learned I relate it back to the abstract concept and alternate applications. I encourage mistakes because they are a valuable source of knowledge and learning. I don’t criticize, but am very encouraging and open to the experiences of the pupil in teaching the material. I believe all people are capable of learning and succeeding.
My tutoring experience includes helping my peers at the University of Wyoming and duties of training petty officer in the US Navy. At UW, I tutored physics, math, and basic engineering. While getting my BS in Mechanical Engineering, I gained an extensive knowledge of the principles and practice of mathematics.
