As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. Going around and walking each student through the process and asking them to do what I did really confirms that the student understands what I have taught them.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with students in all levels of elementary school through teaching as well as during my college year. Specifically I have been in classrooms of pre-k, kindergarten, third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. I find the enthusiasm and thinking of students in upper levels very intriguing. I graduated from Clemson University with a BA in Elementary Education in 2007. Upon graduating I have been in elementary classrooms as a teacher for three years. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a peer tutor in high school for English and Spanish. I also tutored children in Hebrew at a local temple. In addition, I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in Chicago in all areas: Spelling, Reading, Writing, Math, Language, etc. for grades K-8.
I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders. I attempt to make learning as fun and relevant to the child as possible as every child has varying levels of understanding and concentrations. I am extremely patient and can handle anything.
