My comments on tutoring Physics : Took Newtonian physics and electro-magnetic physics (calc based, however algebraic expressions can be derived from calculus therefore well experienced in the algebraic physics as well.)

I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. I have a passion for learning and love when I can help others learn complex material and pass classes. I have aced College Math up through Differential Equations and Calculus 3 algebra, trigonometry and geometry are foundations of the higher mathematics and therefore I understand them extremely well. Physics is one of my top subjects! I took the AP Physics exam in tenth grade and got a five on it. I have also done extensive extracurricular studying of physics. I know classical mechanics, classical electrodynamics, special relativity and quantum mechanics well, and am familiar with quantum field theory.

From my tutoring experience I have noticed that most students who have trouble understanding a difficult concept do so because they did not understand a more basic prerequisite concept, so I try to help students "fill in the gaps." When working with students, I work through a few problems with them, and then I have them do a few problems on their own to see if they understand. If I see that the student does not understand some prerequisite concepts required to solve the problems, I make sure to have them understand those concepts before continuing with the current problems.
I gained my first tutoring experience by explaining difficult concepts to classmates that were struggling. I have been a tutor on WyzAnt for about half a year now. Turning your weakness into your strength

I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. I have tutored people ranging from my peers to people three times my age, to as young as third graders. My motto has evolved into "Helping those who feel they can not be helped"
