A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching Style- That is an interesting question- since there are so many schools with so many different teaching methods I would like to see how the student was shown the particular method for "attack". It would also be helpful to compare that to the textbook directions; from there I will be able to develop a plan based on the topic and the individual student. I have had to recreate lessons for my son for years in order to develop a style that he understands. The student may have an idea for creatively learning this topic- I am always open to suggestions.
It wasn't until I completed my B.S. degree and had a child of my own to fully understand the importance of an education. As an undergraduate, I worked as a College Algebra tutor for two years. This required 3 to 6 office hours a week were students would come to on need basis or if their grade fell below a 70. I would also attend algebra classes every week to help the professor and the students. I became a favorite to many students and professors and was kept busy because of all the recommendations I received. During my last semester as a tutor, the director had a car accident and was out for many weeks. I took the responsibility to coordinate and lead exam review sessions for 20+ students by myself.
