The first thing that I try to do is get to know my client, mainly focusing on what they both like and dislike about school. Then we narrow it down even further to the subject that they are having problems in. I ask them what they think the problem is, find out what the school/teacher thinks the problem is (through review of their coursework including past homework and tests) and come up with a solution that will benefit the student, teacher, and parent to improve and fix the situation.

As an honors graduate from the University of South Florida, I grew up with a strong foundation in education. I spent my senior year of high school (when most people are occupied by senior year activities and proms) in college doing the Early Admissions Program. I have learned many different theories and ways of teaching, most of which I incorporate in my style of teaching. The ones I really believe in and use most are using a hands on approach using the ideas of inquiry and real life experiences in order to make learning the most meaningful and interesting. All children are different therefore individualized programs are needed in order for the child to succeed.
