As a graduate from University of Idaho, I was very much driven to reach a higher level of excellence in education, leadership, and support of my peers. I have earned a BS in Chemistry, which has allowed me to gain an understanding in many levels of science, not only how in how to learn but how to adapt those lessons for others. During the last eight years, throughout high school and college, I have tutored students in Engineering, psychology, mathematics, chemistry and biology. It depends on each person what they like and want in order to find the motivation in themselves. It is satisfying to see people realize that they can achieve more than they first thought. I have earned a bachelor of science degree in General Science, which means I have a very good understanding of many topics including: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computers, and Arts. I graduated with a 3.9 from Whitworth College in 1979. I taught a 1st/2nd grade class for three years. My teaching certificate is not current. I home schooled my 4 children- the oldest through 8th grade. My second son had a learning disability. I spent many hours researching the best methods of teaching him to read. He made the deans list his first quarter in college! I recently taught adults how to do enumeration for the 2010 Census Bureau. I lead a club for middle school students. I am responsible for planning and implementing activities and teaching, and supervising youth leaders. I can teach/tutor any subject except a foreign language or music.
