I completed two summer courses in organic chemistry (organic chemistry I and organic chemistry II) while an undergraduate. I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area. I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. I have tutored students from a range of ages and I worked with my first student over four years ago while I was in college.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2008 and am now almost done with my Master's in Biomedical Sciences. I was a laboratory teaching assistant for two years and a math tutor in the Creighton University Math Department for 2 years. I also did some private math tutoring for the undergraduates in Calculus I as well. I am easygoing, but enjoy challenging my students to do well.
