Experience Summary
I am an experienced and educated professional with a BS in mechanical engineering, over sixty additional, undergraduate credit hours in mathematics, and am currently pursuing a master's degree in applied mathematics. I have great passion for mathematics, its application to the sciences and, most importantly, achieving a greater understanding of the universe in which we live. I pride myself on clear, effective communication and have utilized my skills and abilities in a variety of teaching disciplines. This includes serving as an engineering teaching assistant, private tutor and leading test preparation courses.
Teaching Style
Above all, I am passionate about the subject matter I teach and do everything I am able to foster and grow this passion in my students. I strive to make difficult concepts approachable and more easily understood by relating them to real world applications. Developing a personal rapport with my students is essential to our mutual success and thus I tailor teaching methods to the student's unique learning styles. Employing a personalized combination of visual, auditory, Socratic and exploratory methods provides my students with the best opportunities possible to grasp their topics of interest and help both of us ensure success in all aspects of our lives.
