Chinese, Guitar, History Tutor in Bay Area Seeks Students

Mandarin Chinese - I use Total Physical Response Teaching (TPRS) when teaching elementary aged novice learners, which teaches Chinese as well as American Sign Language. History - I teach history using the many multi-media databases that I subscribe to each month. Musical instruments - patience and hands on. I ask the student what song they want to learn and start learning the first lesson.

As I solve problems I explain the underlying concept/strategy/trick behind the problem. After explaining all the concepts my students and I go through as many problems as possible. A Little Bit About Me...

As the recent recipient of an MA, I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have been employed in some facet of education for the past seven years. My employment experiences include tutoring, classroom assistance, substitute teaching and head teaching. Most germane to this position were the four years I served as a tutor with Cal-SOAP (another tutoring organization). In this position, I tutored students both in the classroom and after school.
