My comments on tutoring German : I'm from Austria and I'm a Native German Speaker.

Hi everyone, I was born and grew up in Austria, and my native language is German. In order to improve my English, I spent ten months as an au pair in Minnesota, and in August 2010, I moved to Minneapolis. Learning a second language can be hard and I think the best way to learn a new language is to listen, speak, and read it as much as possible. My experience includes my knowledge of German simply through daily usage. I didn't study the German language, but I tutor for over 3 years and I thought and learned a lot about the German Grammar.I will be able to help with expanding your conversation skills and increasing your German vocabulary.

Teaching is a wonderful experience! My teaching style is laid-back, I'd say. I like having conversations in order to determine how someone learns. I think people learn best when discussing the material and really think it out before they start creating something. Guiding a student down the path of their own learning style is important because they will need those skills in the future when they go off to college or start a career on their own. I have received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in English. I have worked for several years as an electrical engineer. One of my responsibilities as an engineer was to train recent college graduates. I wrote and taught new employees the basics of engineering. I would assist them on their first few projects.

My mother language is French. I studied German for 8 years and went to Germany to improve my skills. I studied English for 5 years, went to England and passed the Cambridge Proficiency Diploma. I have lived in France, Switzerland, Germany and England before moving to the States and been travelling extensively. I have taught French to adults evening classes in the German part of Switzerland.
