Biology is one of my top subjects! I teach Biology at the University level, and have experience with all levels of Biology instruction.

I teach at a University full time. My experience ranges from traditional students, to special education students, and many non-traditional students (such as those adult students working full time and raising families). I enjoy making science accessible to everyone because the subject is truly fun!
I prefer to teach with open dialogue. Feedback and discussion is one of the most solid methods for evaluating comprehension. If I see that subject comprehension is lacking or missing, it is my challenge to re-present the material for the student (as many times as it takes!).

My comments on tutoring Biology : A favorite subject, I excelled in Science, with Biology being my top subject. I was enrolled in advanced Biology and took numerous Biology courses in my earlier college years as I was initially interested in studying medicine. I am continually reading and learning new things in science/biology. This is a subject I am very comfortable in and am able to help you with.

I am passionate about what I teach and know and like to share that with clients or anyone who is interested in learning and gaining a new experience based on a strong foundation of education and a hands on visual teaching style, that allows one to really explore what they are learning with enjoyment, while refining their knowledge and skill.

A Little Bit About Me...

I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure. I already knew I liked them because I started babysitting when I was 11 and couldn't stop! Then in ninth grade, a neighbor failed kindergarten and asked if I would starting coming over several days a week to help him understand what was being taught. Needless to say, he made it to the first grade! I now have a 17 year old sister who is constantly asking for my assistance in her homework and it is with great pleasure that I assist her.
I have a background in Psychology, so I am extremely intuitive with what a person needs regarding their learning style. I am able to adapt my teaching style to their needs ... read more

So far I have only tutored one student for a year or so. However, I am very knowledgeable in these subjects and hope to make the best of your child's tutoring experience. And despite my inexperience, I am more than capable of tutoring. I also am willing to respect the established rules and wishes that the student's caretakers have placed upon us meeting.
I use note-cards and mnemonics. I'm also fond of repetition (which will allow the student to obviously retain the information) and often do reviews at the end of a session to further examine what said student is struggling with.

I work as a writer and a tutor. For fifteen years I was the corporate vice president of a large international telecommunications company. My education includes a bachelor's degree in bioscience and a master's degree in business ethics.
