I teach Biology at the University level, and have experience with all levels of Biology instruction. I teach at a University full time. My experience ranges from traditional students, to special education students, and many non-traditional students (such as those adult students working full time and raising families). I enjoy making science accessible to everyone because the subject is truly fun! I prefer to teach with open dialogue. Feedback and discussion is one of the most solid methods for evaluating comprehension. If I see that subject comprehension is lacking or missing, it is my challenge to re-present the material for the student (as many times as it takes!).

I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure. I already knew I liked them because I started babysitting when I was 11 and couldn't stop! Then in ninth grade, a neighbor failed kindergarten and asked if I would starting coming over several days a week to help him understand what was being taught.
