In my experience as a tutor, I have acquired the highly important skill of adaptability. Certainly, particular techniques and strategies such as asking provocative questions are helpful with any student of any age. More importantly, though, I have learned that the best tutors are those who can shape each session to the tutee's individual needs and personality. From the beginnings of my education, I have had a strong sense of personal excellence in my academic career. Being home schooled with the accelerated A Beka curriculum, I was able to outperform many of my peers in the public school system. My early education had given me a particularly strong grasp of grammar, reading comprehension, and writing; my proficiency with these increased by studying Latin and Ancient Greek at Trinity University. I graduated with honors from Trinity with a B.A. in Classical Studies, having won awards and having received a full tuition fellowship for the M.A. program at Tulane University.
