A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with adults. I prefer a one on one direct instruction and mentoring, keeping everything simple and fun. I am not sure how well I would be with children; I have none of my own and have not spent much time with my nephews and nieces. I have worked with a few of my friends children, helping them understand algebra, showing them how simple it really is and how it can be fun.
As a engineer I have been training operators in everything form SPC to troubleshooting for 30 years. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009.

I also tutor physics, chemistry, statistics and writing. I have done some classroom teaching of the lower level math classes, but, as I do not have a master's degree, I cannot, by law, formally teach the upper level classes, though I would like to, and though I have been used as a substitute teacher on occasion for these classes.
My goal when working with students is to fully describe the steps necessary to solving various classes of problems, often in an outline form, for ... read more
