Throughout the past 25 years, I have developed a deep love for learning and helping others. I can usually be found volunteering for local services, outdoors or looking into a new course at the nearby college, etc. I recently completed my first full year of teaching in Houston, TX. I taught 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts in an inner city situation. I believe that I learned just as much as the children or more. My curriculum was on delivery, diversity and determination. During the last 3 years or so, I have tutored reading and math from grades 1st-6th and recently a small ESL 5th grade group. A Little Bit About Me...

During my sophomore year in high school I decided to begin tutoring ESL students. I found the ability to help others succeed very rewarding, and began tutoring fellow classmates in courses including but not limited to English, math, biology, and chemistry. These sometimes difficult subject always made sense to me and I enjoyed watching as the students I tutored were successful. I have in that time earned a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University. With this degree I have had extensive exposure and to and learned many different areas in the math and science fields.
