I have my A.A. degree in Theatre and Communications and will be receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies in December of 2012. I have experience with children ranging from grades K-12th. I have been a Teacher's Aide since 2004 and a Summer Counselor since 2006. I am also bilingual and although it is not on my list for tutor availability, I do have experience in the language barriers concerning English and the Spanish language. I find that children are more capable of learning in a stable environment that they are familiar with. Children respond well with well timed incentives and subtle reprimands of lost focus. Students are more likely to acknowledge a lack of concentration skills once their intelligence is put into question. Under my tutoring students are able to concentrate more and see an improvement in their grades. Ill behaved children are more likely to round out their behavior once an appropriate hobby is acquired for them and holds their interests.
