I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. A Little Bit About Me...

At a very young age I decided to be a veterinarian. While I have not yet completed this goal I have stayed true and remained in the biological science field. I received my BS in Animal & Veterinary Sciences this past May and have taken many classes in the Biological Sciences ranging from Basic Biology to Plant Science, Soils, and very in depth classes on Animal Biology including the subjects of reproduction, digestion and nutrition. I have been working with children from K-12 grade since 2001. I was part of the Math Academy in 2002. I have been subsituting in grades K-8 since 2009. I am fluent in the Spanish and I have experience working with migrant as well as with English Learner students. I worked with EL students for 3 years. Children are a great source of knowledge and very bright. I prefer to present a subject of study, encourage original thought, and refrain as much as possible from talking at them. During my undergraduate years, I was tutoring a local grade 4 student in math. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience in making a difference in somebody's life. During the last 15 years in my career, I have always been involved in training/teaching/mentoring individuals whether it is a new computer system or helping my direct staff to grow to their full potential.

I have earned two BS degrees in Business and Public Health and a certificate in mass communication and journalism from Fresno State.
