I got my first teaching experience as a lab instructor for undergraduate physics labs and fell in love with the profession. The best part of the experience is seeing the student grasp a concept that they felt out of reach. I enjoy coming up with inventive ways of communicating the difficult portions of math and science. Most of my students benefited from my teaching style which includes many examples and encourages a dialogue approach to difficult concepts. Upon entering college in 1998, I had already taken Calculus while most other students were typically taking Algebra. This presented a good opportunity, but it is one thing is to know the material well and it is another thing to know how to teach.
