Grad Student and Tutor

Tutoring was first introduced to me while in highschool, where I tutored other students on state testing. I began tutoring in 2006 working with afterschool programs in Waco TX. There I worked with Communities in Schools, a non profit organization located across the United States. I tutored and worked with afterschool till 2010. I tutored elementary and high school students.

I do believe that all children have the ability to learn the subjects however not all children are in the right mind to do so. I believe that if a child is explained the rules in terms and words he/she understands, then he/she will grasp the material and carry it with them into the future rather than trying to cram for an exam with no retention.

I graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Civil Engineering. During my years in College I worked as a tutor in the Math Lab, initially helping with math and science and later helping students with Spanish as well.
