I have earned a BA in Journalism and English and have decided to continue on to pursue my Masters degree in Education. I have been trained in specific reading strategies that can help improve fluency, phonemic awareness, and phonics; as well as vocabulary and text comprehension. I love working with children. I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her. I tend to teach by examples for mathematics and for biology I teach in a lecture style, answering questions in-depth when necessary. In both fields I can give in-depth explanations for concepts. Specifically in mathematics, deriving proofs is especially easy for me and could be useful for those students that wish to see the "why" of certain equations. I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. My main interests and degree lie in medical sciences. I have a Bachelors of biomedical sciences degree with chemistry and psychology minors.
