Hands-On Learning

I love to interact with children. I believe that children should be involved with their school work. Hands on work and visual interactions help when certain curriculums don't sink in. Involving children to learn, beyond taking notes, helps them understand difficult subject and also helps them retain them better to memory.
I'm currently enrolled in Kaplan University pursuing my certification to become a Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions. I have completed High School and obtained my Diploma in 2014. I am currently tutoring a middle school student (8th grade) in all given subjects. I range from simple homework help to comprehension of certain subjects.

Vocals is one of my top subjects!

Throughout all my years in school, I was a Choir student. I was in my school's top varsity choirs and took a few years of music theory. I would help other students prepare for competitions, or simply help them with other things, whether it was vocal issues or things like reading music. I know much about both Classical Training and Contemporary Training. Also, I tutored many classmates in math, whether it was during my math class, during my lunch period, or after school hours, helping my teachers with giving after school tutoring.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have known since I was 5 years old that I wanted to teach and work with young children. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13. We used a lesson plan and several activities to help children in achieving their reading level goals. Also, in my undergrad experience, I excelled in writing and was very good with meeting deadlines.
I am a very down to earth person especially when it comes to kids. I always try to lighten up the mood and make learning things interesting and fun. I don't like to dismiss when I see a child having trouble in something. Every person has a different way of learning, I try to cater to each of their needs.
