My first job was at a very small day care that consisted of about 14 kids, ages 1 to 12 . I do enjoy helping anyone write a well developed and educated paper on the topic at hand. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class. If a student is having a problem, I try to see where there might be a gap in the backround knowledge, then fill it in, or if there is a problem in their processing of the information, I try to correct it. I do this fairly quickly. I'm typically able to tell just from a student's eyes as they look at a problem or how quickly they approach it, if they're having a problem. If I've worked with them for a while, I'm frequently able to know exactly what that problem is without them even saying it.
