A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a teacher on the Big Island, and spent over ten years as a volunteer trainer at public access television facilities in New York and Texas. I am currently seeking tutoring work as I complete the last year of my online "masters in elementary education" program. I have a bachelors in Psychology, and twenty years of working experience, 5 in supervisory positions. I can teach elementary and high school level work. In the past I have taught primarily science, media and reading/writing. I am current on modern tutoring methods and practices.
I believe that once a student can enjoy the process of learning they can begin to internalize the good study habits required for academic success. I believe in empowering children. A child needs to know that someone believes in them.
