It is best to learn sign language in person. Signs are done from the hands and facial expressions and is best learned in person.
Being a CODA, child of deaf adults, has allowed me to be fluent in mine and my parent's native language of American Sign Language. Sign Language is one of my top subjects! Currently, I am working as a community and educational interpreter. I completed an interpreter training program several years ago and have been signing for over 12 years.

Recently I have begun working as an American Sign Language instructor (adjunct professor) at a local community college and have been tutoring a variety of students outside of the classroom. In addition, I have been an interpreter for 5 years and have been signing for over 12 years. Originally, I learned ASL in Ohio and had to adjust to New Jersey regional signs. After deciding to become an interpreter, I attended classes at Union County College and Ocean County College. I am active in deaf coffee chats and meetups in northern and central New Jersey.
