A Little Bit About Me...

My style focuses on the processes in arriving at a solution. The learning goal in mathematics is to impart understanding of the process of working toward a solution, not attaining the solution. In mathematics as many other endeavors, it is how we proceed to a goal that is important, not the goal itself. The achievement at the end is the result of making the correct choices during the journey to the end.
Since undergraduate work, I have worked in the business world, primarily in the manufacturing arena. My academic experiences have continued on some level. In times past I tutored high school math students in North Carolina. I am proficient is equations, inequalities, Cartesian Coordinate System, polynomials, factoring and functions.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of a major university and have several degrees: BS in Clothing, Merchandising and Textiles, AA in Political and Economic Science, as well as two minors, one in General Business and the other in Communications. They have all enabled me to learn and understand a wide range of different areas: English, math, science, accounting, and writing. Also I am well versed in History. In my college experience I have had to accomplish writing successful papers, understand general math as well as business math, I can bring these concepts to a child who is struggling in these areas and help them to overcome and understand the subject. I enjoy being able to work with children and being able to positively impact their lives whether that be through empowering them to succeed or teaching new skills. Throughout my graduate studies I worked as a substitute teacher from grades pre-k-12; however I especially enjoyed working with younger children as it allows for more creativity and thinking outside of the box.
