My comments on tutoring Mechanical Engineering : Also, I have had experiences in tooling and ground support equipment.

First, I have had 26 year experiences in aircraft (i.e. C-17, 787 & Delta IV rocket) structural design, analysis and repair. Due to lack of new order for C-17 transport airplanes, I was laid off by Boeing on 5-2-2014. I have been eligible for social security benefits since October 2014. However, I am in such a good shape to be able to play tennis games. I would like to work for 5 more years minimum to contribute my engineering knowledge and enrich my personal life. I am looking forward to working as a mechanical engineering tutor.

Mechanical Engineering is one of my top subjects!

I encourage students to question problem solving methods in order to understand the fundamentals. After an explanation of the material I often follow up with several example problems to help students test their mastery of the subject. I do not emphasize memorizing equations, because students do not learn about the physical phenomena by memorization. I also explain to students study techniques that have worked well for me in the past. I work well with both individuals and small groups.

I have strong experienced different types of CAD softwares for different CAD companies. I have done Telecommunication, MEP (Electrical) and Tool Design. At first i learn by myself, i strive to get more techniques in CAD particulary Solidworks and AutoCAD. In time i manage to teach ne employee with the software the company was using. At present i still teach people who want to learn Solidworks and AutoCad.
The student will do the drawing as i guide him in front of pc. This teaches more and i see this as more productive in teaching new students.

Currently just graduated with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Long Beach. I have tutored several different courses throughout my career. Including Thermodynamics, Numerical Methods for Engineers, Mechanics of Materials, Calculus, Differential Equations and more. I had a high GPA in college and was a very hard worker. Usually the way I tutor is the student brings me homework problems or questions about a topic and I walk them through how to solve them.
I like to use a white board when I tutor, it makes it easier to solve many different problems without having to use paper. I also prefer that students bring questions and homework problems to tutor sessions that way I have a better understanding of what they need to learn.
