Mechanical Engineering is one of my top subjects!

I am a senior undergraduate student enrolled at Georgia Tech. My major is nuclear and radiological engineering, but i have experience in the fields of mechanical and civil engineering. I am most experienced in the subjects of mathematics, radiation physics, and electromagnetics including: algebra (I and II), trigonometry, differential equations, calculus 1 and 3, reactor physics, radiation protection/particle physics, thermodynamics, classical mechanics. I also have basic college level experience in the fields of chemistry and biology.
I encourage students to question problem solving methods in order to understand the fundamentals. After an explanation of the material I often follow up with several example problems to help students test their mastery of the subject. The student will do the drawing as i guide him in front of pc. This teaches more and i see this as more productive in teaching new students.
I have strong experienced different types of CAD softwares for different CAD companies. I have done Telecommunication, MEP (Electrical) and Tool Design. At first i learn by myself, i strive to get more techniques in CAD particulary Solidworks and AutoCAD. In time i manage to teach ne employee with the software the company was using. My comments on tutoring Mechanical Engineering : Also, I have had experiences in tooling and ground support equipment.

First, I have had 26 year experiences in aircraft (i.e. C-17, 787 & Delta IV rocket) structural design, analysis and repair. Due to lack of new order for C-17 transport airplanes, I was laid off by Boeing on 5-2-2014. I have been eligible for social security benefits since October 2014. However, I am in such a good shape to be able to play tennis games. I would like to work for 5 more years minimum to contribute my engineering knowledge and enrich my personal life. I am looking forward to working as a mechanical engineering tutor.

A Little Bit About Me...

Drafting is a Industial Arts subject. Students apply math skills to complete assignments. Math students can utilize practical uses to understand the theory of math. I will use many examples from my years of teaching to explain math. My tutoring background will also aid me in connecting the theory with the hands-on skills.
My industrial experience working as a design/drafter lead me to attend college at CSULB, graduating in 1974. I later worked 23 years as a teacher, incorporating math within the drafting curriculum. I was fortunute to teach many types of drafting. Each and every one of them had math applications from basic arithmetic to geometry built into the class. During the last 8 to 10 years since retiring I have also tutored at Sylvan, covering many topics for Elementary to High School. I completed a Masters Degree in Education in 1991 at CSULB as well.
