Working one-on-one with a child, adult, or in a small group is a privilege and affords the opportunity to do more than just teach; it is an important opportunity to help to empower someone to "learn how to learn." In my teaching, I believe that developing confidence, self-discipline, and appropriate learning tools is just as important as mastery of any particular subject. In any interaction with a student, I understand and value my role as a tutor, and I aim to inspire and to set a positive example.
