My greatest satisfaction is found in helping youth. I strongly believe that education is one of the strongest foundations that one can have. I enjoy working one on one, providing the necessary encouragement and support that all children need to be successful. I am caring and patient. My ultimate teaching goal is to enable the child to become academically successful without the teacher.
While attending Lenoir Community College, I was named to the Dean's List several semesters, named Outstanding Student of the Month, and listed in Who's Who Among Junior College Students. I graduated with an Associate in Arts Degrees in English and in Elementary, Middle Grades and Special Education. I love teaching and enjoy working with children and adults. The only thing I ask is that the student be willing to learn. I love any learning environment. I love to make the most of any learning opportunity. Learning is not limited to the classroom. I learn new things every day. My favorite professor is 76 years old; I want to be just like her. I embrace Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligence. The most exciting experience for me is to teach a student and watch that student lean over and help another student. I love the synergy of teaching.
I have spent the last 10 years as a student and as an instructor. I realized that I needed computer skills and decided to get the skills necessary to survive.
