Providing Tools and Skills for Supreme Success!!

I am a former special education teacher who specialized with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations, but in the regular education environment, I worked with kids of all disabilities all the way to highly gifted kids. I was known for recognizing learning styles and adapting curriculum to reach all of those populations in very creative and engaging ways for excellent results. I also consult regularly with siblings who home school. I have a dual degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Psychology, so I am often simultaneously working with them on skills as well as self-defeating behaviors and attitudes that have been getting in their way of realizing success.

My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. Reading is one of my top subjects! I am quite experienced in teaching students of all levels to decode. My methods are evidence-based. I have taught students who have learning disabilities how to decode as well.

I take a holistic approach and match students' needs with my teaching methods. I begin with a free assessment during which we determine together how often and what kind if tutoring is needed. We also decide where and when tutoring will take place based on your needs and budget. I ask that parents or clients bring any previous testing information or IEP if one is in place.
