A teacher never stops teaching, and never ceases learning.

I have to first find the learning style of the student. As a teacher, I find that students have diverse ways of learning and that I must adapt my teaching style to their needs. For instance, I have some students who are auditory learners and sometimes retain information more if information is read orally to them. Some students must have a generous amount of explanation as to the content of what he or she is reading while otheers require many visual cues to accompany their learning. It really depends upon the student.

Providing Tools and Skills for Supreme Success!!

I am a former special education teacher who specialized with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations, but in the regular education environment, I worked with kids of all disabilities all the way to highly gifted kids. I was known for recognizing learning styles and adapting curriculum to reach all of those populations in very creative and engaging ways for excellent results. My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time
