Every child has his/her own learning style. I think it is important to first determine how each child best learns – either visual, auditory, or tactile. I can then tailor my instruction to the needs of each student. In general, I believe that people learn best by ‘doing’. I believe that students should be able to ask questions or discuss relevant experiences during lessons – this kind of dialogue makes the instruction memorable and meaningful to students. I requested that they bring their notes and textbook so that I use them as a reference when teaching. I can either answer specific questions or walk through the material. I ask the student questions about the material to make sure they understand the information completely.
