It is a joy to be able to work with children. I understand that we all learn in different ways and I like working with students to help them find which way is best for them. I earned my BS in Political Science and obtained a MBA in 2008. I am currently working on my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I tutored students in an array of subjects from 1996-2000. A Little Bit About Me...

I was in the Teacher Apprenticeship program from 2003-2004 at my high school, where I taught and tutored two classes of 8th grade students for my mentor teacher. In college, I proofread many papers for friends and did extensive legal research and writing, which continuously improved my writing ability. I vastly enjoy writing papers and performing research for academic purposes, especially on issues relating to international political affairs.
My teaching style is hands-on. I believe that while students gain knowledge through auditory and visual methods of learning, it is vital that they are given practical tasks that put their skills to use. As a substitute teacher I never really was able to develop a specific style of teaching. Each teacher had their own way of doing things and each class was different. However, I feel the best way for anyone to learn be it adult or student is to let the student take the lead. I would give them the instructions as to what needs to be accomplished, let them do the work, and be there for any questions or assistance that would be needed.
