Ever since I was a young girl, I have loved learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I discovered my teaching techniques while working as a tutor and have perfected them for the past seven years as a mother of four young children. My main goal when tutoring or teaching is to guide the student to the answer through their own knowledge. I have found that by sharing the necessary tools for learning has been so much more beneficial than just offering the easy way out. I have a Master of Arts degree in English from Utah State University and have taught EFL overseas and within the US. Recently (from 07-08), I worked as a Math Tutor for challenged fifth graders and also for Kindergarteners part-time at Lincoln Elementary in Layton while my son was in pre-school. I am competent in elementary math and sincerely enjoy helping others to find the inherent beauty of numbers and what they can do.
I love kids - they are often sweet, funny, easily impressed and are a great audience.
