I am a question-answer type of teacher. I like to demonstrate, have them do, answer questions, clear up ambiguities, and then test or at least check to insure learning and understanding. I have a style of quiet, but firm expectations. I have a great amount of patience. I will do best with high school and college age students, and on occasion, with more mature middle school students.
I have been an "instructor"-teacher for over 15 years. I teach math, economics, finance, business, and management for several colleges. I have been a Boy Scoutmaster and merit bade counselor and have worked with youth for over 15 years. I have always been given very high marks as an instructor with many comments on my positive energy and help for students. I have an applied mathematics minor so I would be able to teach algebra, geometry, trig, and introductory calculus.

I have been studying in the scientific field for over 7 years at the college level and obtained pre-pharmacy status from a community college as well as an Associates of Applied Science Degree from the same community college majoring in Chemical Processing Technology. Also I have obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry from an accredited University. I have taken math courses up to and including differential equations (sometimes called Calculus 4) as well as many organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry courses with the labs for each of these subjects. I always loved school and the whole education process, so when I started teaching I assumed that all of my students would feel the same way. But I quickly learned that school is not easy for everybody. What I found though, is that if you provide a fun, safe environment for kids to learn in, they will learn. And in turn, school will become easier. I believe school and learning is alot like life, you are most excited about things that are interesting to you.
