I believe that every person has an optimal way in which they learn. Ideas that seem complicated can be made easy by simply changing the way in which it is presented. At college level, I lecture, write on the chalk board, give handouts, give and grade class and home assignments, and provide where necessary, one on one tutoring supported with several examples. At lower level tutoring, I follow any official guidelines provided or I listen to student's or students' problems to determine the weak points where they need help and I then work with the student(s) after developing an appropriate strategy for helping the student(s).
I have taught and tutored College level Economics, Statistics, Management, and Several Agricultural Economics courses for over twenty years in six different universities and colleges in Africa and in the United States. A Little Bit About Me...

I am an accountant by occupation, and my tutoring experience is primarily as a volunteer, because I love learning and helping others to learn. I gave beginning piano and music theory instruction to a student who went on to become a professional flutist. I also taught beginning piano and music theory lessons to my neighbor's son, who went on to learn violin and recently guest conducted at his high school orchestra concert. As a volunteer at the New Brighton Community Education Center, I provided weekly Basic Reading and ESL tutoring. Also I have taught as an adjunct faculty in University of Saint Thomas, Metro State University, and various community colleges. I taught various economics, and finance classes. Also I taught developmental math to community college students. I have also taught my two children. My older son is graduating with degrees in Mathematics and Economics from University of Minnesota. My younger child is an eighth grader. He is doing pre-calculus in eighth grade. Pre-calculus is studied in eleventh or twelfth grade. I work with my younger son very closely.
