A Little Bit About Me...

I have an MS in physics and a BS in mathematics. I have twenty years tutoring students in math and physics, starting while working on my BS. I taught trigonometry as a teaching assistant at portland State University while a graduate student. I also taught at Chemeketa Community College as a supplemental instructor, holding group tutoring sessions for basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry, for classes that used these subjects as part of the course.
I enjoy teaching and creating interest in the subject that is being taught. I have learned from experiance that the more interested the students become in the subject, the better they learn. Since I was a young girl, the English language has been as important to me as breathing. I have tutored elementary school children thru the S.M.A.R.T. program as well as through classroom assistance programs.
