I enjoy teaching almost as much as I enjoy learning. I believe that basic education skills are the foundation for success. Progressing through school in Independent Study Classes, I am fully aware that conventional methods of teaching and studying do not work for every child. Often times the different needs and learning styles of students are overlooked or ignored completely. I, on the other hand, prefer to take a holistic approach to education. Student’s goals should be clearly outlined and data driven. An individual learning plan should be designed for the student based on his or her strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
