I have taught for 30 years. Five years ago I began tutoring when my daughter was diagnosed with a sensory processing disorder. I feel like I can do more as a tutor than a classroom teacher. My heart lies with these kids and I want to do everything I can to help make them a success. I create an individual course of study for each child based on their learning style. I help kids understand their homework and teach them how to study so they get more out of the time they are spending in their school work. I teach reading comprehension and fluency. My teaching style is fun: relaxed and engaging for my students and for me too. I am serious about giving my clients the best and richest learning situation as possible. I use a modality designed just for that student and perhaps not offered at school. Since I am in a one on one setting I can ideally focus on just that one student's personal needs. As an English major I have always enjoyed and excelled in the field. I was top of my class in high school. I also aided in the kindergarten class.
