Experience Summary
I have taught for 30 years. Five years ago I began tutoring when my daughter was diagnosed with a sensory processing disorder. I feel like I can do more as a tutor than a classroom teacher. My heart lies with these kids and I want to do everything I can to help make them a success. I create an individual course of study for each child based on their learning style. I help kids understand their homework and teach them how to study so they get more out of the time they are spending in their school work. I teach reading comprehension and fluency. My students typically see a two to three year jump in grade level after just a few hours of tutoring.
