My comments on tutoring PSAT : I have tutored several students in the math section of the PSAT.

I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I have taught math at both the high school and middle school levels. The subjects I have taught include algebra I and II, geometry, AP Calculus AB,and middle school math. I have tutored math every year that I taught, and also tutored GED math for 1 year.
I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.

I have learned since having children of my own that patience and understanding each child is the key to success. I take the time to listen as well as clearly explain subjects so that no question is left unanswered. As a student I listened and learned while in the classroom and want to pass the knowledge I have along to the next generation.

Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature.
