As a graduate and substituting, I am driven to become a proud member of the Masters program in Education. I have extensive experience on school improvement committees and after-school activities/programs. I have years of experience teaching grades K-12. I want to obtain the position of tutor where I am able to utilize my 12 years of experience in teaching/guiding children in subjects like math's, English, Science, Computers and arts. As someone who graduated with an associates in a scientific field, I know how important it is to be persistant in my knowledge of mathematics and how critical it is for others to succeed knowing the same knowledge that I know about math no matter what the career field.
My teaching styles and techniques very with the student and their knowledge of the subject and learning skills. I am patient, willing to listen to the student's(s') needs, and apply those needs in any way that I am able.
