A Little Bit About Me...

Each child is different. I always try to notice and acknowledge what benefits each student, as I think this applies to all forms of teaching from academics to athletics. Getting on their level is what ultimately benefits the child from the get go and gains their interest. If I'm interested, then the child is interested. I do my best to make sure the child is setting their goals and doing their best to achieve them in the way and style for which they are best suited.
I have two bachelors degrees, however, I believe it is my experience teaching children that has helped me develop a good sense on how to approaching teaching scenarios. I have years of experience teaching children in academics, music, and dramatic arts, as well as coaching basketball and teaching golf at the professional level.

After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio I was employed by the Crestwood Schools, Mantua, Ohio to teach instrumental music. I taught this subject at the middle school level while assisting with the high school program. My entire thirty year career in instrumental music was with the Crestwood School System. During my tenure at Crestwood Middle School the instrumental music program evolved into a vital program within the school involving four bands and over 250 students.
