I believe each person is unique and different. Therefore, my teaching style is individualized depending on the student and their needs. I do however believe in a hands-on, interactive approaches in order to keep students engaged and interested in learning. I am a 2014 graduate of Marymount University where I received a Masters in Special Education. I have teaching experience at both the elementary and middle school levels. One of the first things I do with my students with dyslexia is get organized. Homework, projects, and assignments are written down clearly, often color coded, so we know in advance what;s coming. We will organize the student's notebook, and review notes and school assignments so I can assess whether the student is grasping the content from the class.
