I, Chad Hanson started out teaching private piano lessons after I grauated from college. I have nine years of experience in the line of work. I would say my teaching method would closely reflect the socratic method. I often work with students asking many questions. I never just give an answer. The questioning serves several purposes: to instruct via reproduction, to instill confidence, and to show my interest and desire for their success. I believe in practice, I teach showing one example, then work through several with guidance to finally watching the transformation take place.

A Little Bit About Me...

Informal teaching style: Throughout my time with the Navy one is constantly training one’s replacement for a specific job. This challenges a person, to find the proper learning style for each person. Unfortunately not everyone learns at the same pace, or the same way. I have been at Fccj for a little over two years. I have studied and mastered a variety of subjects. I am starting JU next summer to earn my BSN.
